Water Garden Supply

Making a Water Garden Supply List

When you decide to install a water garden in your yard you may think it’s as easy as digging a hole and dropping the pond in. Although it is a fairly straightforward process, there are certain things you need to do and purchase. Before you venture out to the store consider making a water garden supply list. This list should contain everything you’ll need to complete the project. You don’t want to be midway through the project when you realize you forgot to purchase something. There are obvious things to include on your water garden supply list. These might be a water garden kit, which includes almost everything you need in one box, lighting and a hose to run the water through.

If you want to include a waterfall in your design you’ll need to add those extra materials to your water garden supply list. Some waterfalls are preassembled and come with a faux rock finish, others you assemble yourself and with the latter, you’ll need more materials. You should also include a pump and filter on your water garden supply list if you are going to have fish. Fish need the oxygen that is created by the pump and they also need clean water, thus a filter is essential. The electrical wiring of these items is usually placed below the pool liner and so you’ll need them as you are building the pond.

Any plants that you are placing in and around your design should be added to your water garden supply list. These can be purchased at the same time as the other materials and then added to the project as its being constructed. Some plants that are placed in the water will need extra nutrients in the form of plant food; this should be bought at the same time.

A water garden supply list will save you time and anxiety. It will help keep your project flowing smoothly.
